18 March 2019 - Netflix drop the first full trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series two, and it's dark.

Ahead of the full series coming on April 5, Netflix teased the wickedly good remake of Sabrina - and it's gloomier and doomier than ever. In it, the strength of Sabrina's true powers are shown off, the witch and Harvey share a steamy moment, and her family and friends start to notice something ~off~ about her. OH IT LOOKS SO GOOD.

One of the best things to come out of Halloween 2018 (alongside the snacks) was Netflix's reboot of Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. First announced in September 2017, the same producers who blessed us with Riverdale reimagined the adventures of Sabrina as a dark coming-of-age story full of horror, occult and, of course, witchcraft.

The first series went down so well that fans are already anticipating a second instalment. So is this really happening? Can we expect a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series two? Here's everything you need to know, from release date to cast and potential storylines. Agh!

Is there a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina trailer yet?

Yes! On 3 December, Netflix dropped a first glimpse at the next instalment of Sabrina's story, which showed the teenage witch with shorter, blonder hair, wearing all black, and getting up to all sorts of magical things.

What about potential Chilling Adventures of Sabrina plot lines?

Sabrina's life takes a different turn

"Sabrina definitely changes and shifts a lot," Kiernan said of her character to Bloody Disgusting. "Her growth is very evident and the second season definitely has a different spin on it than the first season. They're very different from each other.

"I would just say that, without giving too much away, because it would be a bit of a spoiler, the way that Sabrina's life takes certain turns and certain decisions she makes inform the second season."

Could a Riverdale crossover happen?

Seeing as the two Netflix shows share producers, fans have been praying for a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina/Riverdale crossover - and while the cast are into the idea, too, season two might not provide the goods.

Actor KJ Apa, who plays Archie Andrews in Riverdale, told Comicbook.com, "I really want that to happen [but] I mean, as far as I know now, I don’t think it is going to happen. But, just because they’ve got the supernatural aspect to it and we don’t really have that. But it would be sick."

CAOS' Ross Lynch told Elle something similar: "Man, people really really want these shows to collide. I'm about it. Like I think that would be fun... We'll see. I don't have any information about it."

Salem might get his own episode!

The show's creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, told Indie Wire that as well as purposely making Salem creepier in the remake ("When we did the show, [he doesn’t speak] partly to project the horror tone"), he has considered creating an episode solely around the cat.

"We’ve definitely talked about doing a Salem-centric episode where we would learn more about his life," he said. YES to this!

Anything else we should know about Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series two?

Oh yeah - only just the tiny fact they're doing a special Christmas episode! Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale, launches on Netflix December 14, with the episode description reading:

"The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice—the longest night of the year—when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors—both welcome and unwelcome— you never know what might come down the chimney…"

That'll keep us going until the next series, then.
